Welcome to the all new Customer Corner and On-Line Help Desk. Exciting enhancements to CMTSTM for Windows®, OMSTM for Windows®, and this web site have been planned for 2007. But we couldn't wait! We are so close that we decided several weeks ago to go online with our new web site and make our new on-line help desk and product updates available in December.

CMTSTM for Windows® Product Update
The next release of CMTSTM for Windows® has us very excited. We can’t wait for you to start using it. However, an important part of software development is the testing stage. This process insures that you receive a product that is as bug free as possible but it can be very time consuming. We are anxious for you to begin to benefit from the new features as soon as possible. Beginning immediately, you may download enhancements to CMTSTM for Windows® that have been thoroughly tested.
To download enhancements, simply visit our web site from any computer with web access at either http://www.churchsoftware.com or http://torbertdata.com. Once there, click on the link to the Customer Corner. Then follow the instructions. If prompted for a password, enter "CMTS Rel 5.10A". Call or email us if you have any questions or experience difficulty.
A Web Based Newsletter For Your Church and We Do All The Work!
Would your congregation enjoy from a "web newsletter" for important announcements, news items, and a monthly church calendar? Better yet, we will do all the work! Simply email your information to us. We are making this service available to our customers for as low as $5.95 per month depending on the plan selected, plus a small one-time setup fee. At this price, this service is available to a limited number of customers on a first come basis.
If your church already has a web site, the newsletter will link to it and will enhance it with frequent updates. This will free up your church webmaster from having to make time-consuming updates. If your church does not have a web site, this will provide your congregation with a quick and convenient way to be informed of upcoming events and announcements. We can even provide your church with one or more email addresses so that church personnel do not have to use their personnel email account for church business. Let Us Help With Your Bookkeeping
CMTSTM for Windows® features powerful bookkeeping capabilities. It runs in a relatively easy-to-use “basic mode” as well as a true "double-entry fund accounting" mode. However, keeping financial records requires bookkeeping knowledge and preferably accounting knowledge. Furthermore, church treasurers are often volunteers with limited time. Many do not have any accounting background. We can help.
For as little as $29.95 per month, you can email us your deposits, checks, and other financial transactions. We will enter the information into the system, perform month-end bank reconciliation, and then send you either printed financial reports or the data to load into your computer. Your treasurer then presents the reports to the church finance committee. Call us for more information.
The Importance of Backing Up
We've emphasized it before. Perform a "Save" everytime you use the system and a "Backup" frequently. This makes it so much easier to resolve problems when you call. Yet, we get calls every week from customers that fail to do this.
Year End Procedures Review
It is neither necessary nor recommended to roll the year before entering data for the New Year. The system will separate the information. In donations, we recommend printing and distributing donor statements as soon as possible. Wait until April to roll the year. This gives you the opportunity to made corrections and other adjustments, then reprint any statements.
CAUTION: Never change the year in [Setup] > [Initial Parameters].
Roll the year instead [Tools] > [Year-End Roll]. Always perform a save and
a backup first.
The bookkeeping year is based on your fiscal year, not the calendar year. As with donations, information for the New Year will be kept separate. Do not roll the year until after all year-end reports have been printed and reviewed by the finance committee and any required audit is completed.
